It has been said that practice makes perfect, but it is not true. Practice makes permanent. Only perfect practice makes perfect. That is why when studying languages you need to practice either with someone, or with an audio so you practice creating the correct sounds.
When I first started to learn Spanish, it was before the internet and consequently much of what I learned was out of books. Naturally, I didn't pronounce things correctly, but this is how I practiced. Unfortunately, that led to many bad habits that I am still working on correcting.
The Drillinator helps avoid that. You can create audio streams or drills to practice with and you can practice saying the words correctly. You just listen and repeat until the words just roll off your tongue.
The listen and repeat approach has been proven to work. Language recordings have been around for a long time because they work. They are good as far as they go. The only real problem is that they are limited. You are limited to what someone else thought was important. So you will be practicing somethings you don't really care about, and it will never cover everything you need.
But... The Drillinator let's you come up with your own lists and practice what you think is important.
